Just heat and evaporate magnesium fluoride in a vacuum coating machine using tungsten, molybdenum boat or electron gun, and then apply the coating to optical lens. However, the biggest problem in this simple process is the collapse point. High quality lens will become waste products because of collapse point. For the time being, that is one of the main reasons resulting in the cost increase of optical productions.The collapse point of magnesium fluoride optical coating materials can be caused by many reasons.
